With a call to focus on customer service across all sectors in Namibia, the Service Excellence Awards Namibia to be hosted by the Chartered Institute of Customer Management at the Safari Hotel in Windhoek on 16 March.
The awards will be handed out for service excellence in over 15 sectors including both the private and public sectors after a rigorous process of online voting via a platform called Survey Monkey which has over 10 000 active users, mystery shopping visits that were carried out during the course of the year and questionnaires that are provided by CICM to the
general public. A team of adjudicators sits down to deliberate and come up with the final list of winners.
The SEA were launched in Zimbabwe in 2012 by the Chartered Institute of Customer Management with the aim to recognise, honour and reward organisations which have excelled in customer service. The awards are also there to promote and nurture a culture of service excellence as well as to motivate organisations towards continuous improvement. The concept of the awards was later expanded in the same year to capture African markets and promote service excellence across Africa.
